Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst with 3-7 years of experience to conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs for public or private institutions. The ideal candidate will analyze and communicate financial information to clients, providing recommendations based on business forecasts, industry trends, and economic conditions. This role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline, with an advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with recommendations based on business forecasts, industry trends, and economic conditions.
• Present financial findings to clients, including data affecting investment programs such as price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks.
• Present oral and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries.
• Recommend investments and investment timing to companies, investment firm staff, or the investing public.
• Prepare plans of action for investment based on financial analyses.
• Determine the prices at which securities should be syndicated and offered to the public.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-7 years of financial and/or accounting experience.
• Experience with forecasting HC, Capex, and Hyperion.
• Financial modeling experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in presenting to leaders.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Expert knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, and financial data reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related financial software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Capex and Hyperion.
• Proficiency in financial modeling.
• Experience with Tableau and Power BI.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Foster City. The work environment is dynamic, and the position may require additional effort during peak times, such as the budget season. Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate a 'can do' mentality and willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.
