Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the fabrication and validation of critical flight hardware, including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and flight Ground Support Equipment, adhering to associated flight drawings, procedures, quality standards, and internal training. You will assist engineers in the manufacture and test infrastructure development of flight/prototype hardware, document assembly and test procedures, and perform other specified tasks. Additionally, you will identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance, work with facilities and maintenance to ensure timely repair and maintenance of production equipment, and collaborate with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical assembly, as well as flight Ground Support Equipment per associated flight drawings, procedures, quality standards, and internal training.
- Assist engineers in the manufacture and test infrastructure development of flight/prototype hardware.
- Document assembly and test procedures and perform other specified tasks.
- Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality assurance.
- Work with facilities and maintenance to ensure production equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturing orders and ensure process instructions are understood.

- Electro-mechanical skills
- Blueprint reading
- Schematic interpretation
- Proficiency with power tools
- Experience in Aerospace industry
- Troubleshooting skills
- Production and assembly experience
- Soldering experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Current Solder, Harnessing/Crimping certification to J or NASA-Standards
- Ability to work from diagrams, drawings, and detailed procedures
- Experience operating electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment
- Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools
- Experience working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials, and other commonly used chemicals in manufacturing
Work Environment
This role operates in a clean room environment. Contract employees are not offered holiday or vacation benefits at any level. Technologies and equipment used include various hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment. The team is currently working on the IROSA satellite for NASA.
