Description

The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a part-time Behavioral Health Professional to join our Youth Stress and Mood (YSAM) Program. This program is dedicated to improving the mental and physical health of children and by developing and evaluating treatments and services for depression, self-harm,, and suicide prevention. Primary duties include:
  • Conduct interventions and evaluations with youth participants
  • Implementing program protocols for evaluation, care, interventions, and linkage to additional resources
  • Complete required program training protocols to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Follow quality assurance and monitoring protocols to maintain program standards
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for youth
  • Other duties as assigned
Please note: This is an 11 month limited position that may convert to career.

Pay Range: $31.03/hr - $65.90/hr

Job Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field (required)
  • Training in mental health related field
  • Ability to assess, evaluate, and provide care for children, adolescents, and young adults with elevated suicide/self-harm risk and/or complex emotional and medical diagnosis.
  • Ability to provide guidance, support, and care for families, caregivers, and significant others of children, adolescents, and young adults with elevated suicide/self-harm risk and/or complex emotional and medical diagnoses recommend course of treatment for child and adolescents.
  • Ability to complete training and quality assurance protocols for research and clinical programs.
  • Experience working with suicidal/self-harm and associated mental health problems
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively and respectfully with research and clinical teams.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including some evenings and/or weekends
