The Department of Medicine is looking to hire a Patient Navigator to serve as a vital point of contact for patients. This role will involve responding to phone calls and messages, guiding patients through the healthcare system to ensure timely follow-ups and access to care, and assisting with insurance-related challenges and barriers. The Patient Navigator will work closely with clinic staff, providers, and the broader sickle cell program team to coordinate services and support, ensuring that each patient's needs are met.

Required:
- Ability to operate office equipment such as printer, scanner, copier, facsimile machine.
- Previous office experience.
- Experience working independently with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent writing skills and editing correspondence and written materials.
- Ability to multi-task under deadline, balance competing priorities and solve problems creatively
- Knowledge of PCs, windows operation system, and related word processing and spreadsheet software (such as MS Word, Access, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of documents.
- Experience working with underserved populations, such as Sickle Cell patients
