Job Title: Laboratory Specimen Processor

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laboratory Specimen Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, as well as ensuring accurate data entry and efficient specimen handling. Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing (aliquot, pour offs)
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problems related to specimen processing

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Previous medical or production experience is a plus
• Experience working in a team environment

Work Environment

This position involves working Tuesday to Saturday with shifts starting at 5:00AM-1:30PM or 7:00AM-3:30PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. The dress code is solid-colored scrubs or jeans and a plain t-shirt, comfortable closed-toed shoes, and a mask. A lab coat will be provided. You will be part of a team of 20 accessioners, working in our corporate center, which offers ample internal growth and opportunities.
