Job Description
The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s fleet operations on a global scale, ensuring efficient management of vehicles, drivers, and logistics. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and compliance with international regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the management and maintenance of a fleet of 121 vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Optimize the fleet budget and expenses through effective supplier, service, and data management.
- Implement safety practices and procedures among drivers, maintenance shops, operators, and technicians to foster a culture of accountability and safety, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles to optimize fleet performance.
- Develop and manage the fleet budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulations regarding vehicle operation and safety standards.
- Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in fleet management.
- Experience with heavy equipment.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is acceptable.
