Senior Civil Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer for our Lakewood, CO office. This position offers the opportunity to work on civil design projects throughout the Front Range of Colorado as well as nationally. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong technical, project management, and client communication skills, who thrives in a client-focused and employee-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in master planning and conceptual design.
• Monitor design budgets and project schedules.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and other design disciplines on projects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish.
• Provide quality control on designs.
• Assist with proposals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).

Essential Skills

• Civil Engineering experience with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and 7+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in site development and civil design.
• Strong project management skills, particularly in land development projects.
• Ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
• Excellent client and contractor communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in conceptual design.
• Ability to provide quality control on designs.
• Experience in preparing proposals and responding to RFIs.

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of 2 days in the office. You will work with a large civil team and occasionally visit project sites, which may involve climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
