Outside Plant Laborer (Fiber)

Job Title: OSP Laborer

Location: Apopka, FL

Job Summary:

As an OSP Communications Ground Hand Laborer, you'll help with installing and maintaining cables and equipment for outside plant communications. You'll work with a team to place, rearrange, and remove poles, conduits, cables, and other equipment. This job involves working outdoors and may require working on weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with aerial and underground construction
• Perform physical labor to support construction tasks
• Complete paperwork as needed
• Work in various weather conditions
• Follow instructions from the crew foreman
• Keep records of work activities
• Use hand tools

Safety Responsibilities:

• Follow safety regulations and standards
• Participate in job site safety analysis

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Team player with good communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in different environments
• Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 70 pounds, working at heights, and in trenches
• Interest in telecommunications or fiber optics
