Job Title: Medical Assistant


Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our urgent care clinic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced clinic environment and be able to perform a variety of medical assistant duties efficiently and accurately.


Responsibilities

  • Collect patient demographics and medical history.
  • Triage patients based on symptoms.
  • Assist with electronic health records management.
  • Measure and record vital signs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  • Support front desk operations as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Proficiency in measuring and recording vital signs.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred but not required: MA diploma or certification.
  • Experience as a medical assistant in an urgent care setting.

Work Environment

The position involves working onsite at a primary care clinic, seeing between 20-30 patients a day. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. The work environment is supportive and offers various benefits, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K, holiday pay (6 paid holidays), and paid time off (PTO) that accumulates at a rate of 8 hours for every 400 hours worked. Upon permanent employment, employees receive 9 paid holidays and 15 days of PTO, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance. Employees can also earn PTO tokens for outstanding performance, which can be used at any time.
