Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and performing various administrative and clinical tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with patients and ensure timely updates.
• Accurately enter patient data and updates into the system.
• Answer inbound phone calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Order lab tests and relay lab results to patients.
• Schedule follow-up appointments with patients.
• Triage patient concerns and direct them appropriately.
• Provide clinical support as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year experience in Medical Assisting.
• Medical Assisting diploma, certification, or 1+ years MA experience preferred.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Athena.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Proficiency in ordering labs and managing patient care.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Work Environment

• This position requires working onsite at a clinic from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
