Job Title: Revit Designer
Job Description
We are currently searching for a Revit Designer to collaborate with staff engineers and other designers in the design and production of construction drawings for various water, wastewater, and pump station projects. Under the direction of the Principal Designer and engineering staff, you will work on projects focused on developing piping drawings for treatment plant, stormwater, sewer, and pipeline designs in the water and wastewater industry.
Responsibilities
- Generate detailed Revit models, families, and CAD base files for project documentation.
- Create intricate piping layouts in Revit to produce comprehensive plans, sections, and details for various mechanical systems.
- Work closely with other disciplines (Civil, Structural, Architectural, HVAC, Electrical, and I&C) to address design issues and challenges.
- Apply revisions from engineers and CAD/BIM designers.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company and client CAD standards.
- Demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, communicate effectively, and collaborate with fellow designers.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of mechanical Revit experience or water/wastewater mechanical experience.
- Pipe or structural modeling experience.
- Understanding and experience with the concept of putting a set of drawings together.
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 Software skills.
- Completion of technical school with CAD design certificate or Associate’s Degree.
- Basic understanding of water and/or wastewater design projects (equipment, piping, valves, accessories, and supports).
- Experience maintaining the quality and consistency of CAD (designs, as-builts, symbology, connectivity, and annotation).
- Ability to budget time and work efficiently to achieve project goals, both independently and as part of project teams.
- Capability to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams.
Work Environment
You will work in an office with other engineers, drafters, field staff, and admins, supporting teams across the country. The position is currently hybrid, requiring initial orientation in the office and consistent in-office/remote days as chosen.
