Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to perform manufacturing tasks and transform raw materials into final products. This role involves operating lab instruments, synthesizing oligos, and utilizing various lab equipment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination processes, product transfer, and maintenance connection software.
• Operate lab instruments by following work instructions and company policies.
• Use a variety of lab equipment to process both standard and non-standard products.
• Synthesize oligos on various synthesizer platforms and attach modifications utilizing various techniques.
• Cleave and deprotect oligos using appropriate methods.
• Quantify and sample oligos for quality control tests.
• Efficiently multitask while running multiple processes.
• Use customer software in a Windows-based environment.
• Troubleshoot product, process, or equipment problems.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Knowledge of biology and quality control.
• Proficiency in pipetting and comfortable with computers.
• Ability to read and follow instructions accurately.

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other life sciences preferred.
• OR an Associate's Degree in Life Science with 1-2 years of relevant lab-based experience.

Work Environment

This role offers two positions: 1. A 9-month Contract-to-Hire (CTH) position with shifts from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM. The base pay is $21.92 per hour plus a $2.88 shift differential, totaling $24.80 per hour. 2. A 12-month Contract position with shifts from Sunday to Tuesday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36-hour work week). The base pay is $23.99 per hour plus a $1.30 shift differential, totaling $25.29 per hour. Please note that shift differentials will change if the employee changes shifts.
