Seeking a Drafter in the Quad Cities with Manufacturing Expertise!!

Job Description

Utilize AutoCAD to perform mechanical drafting, converting customer designs to 2D blueprints for shop fabrication. You will be working in a custom manufacturing setting with a focus on sheet metal products such as HVAC ductwork.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D blueprints using AutoCAD based on customer designs.
• Work within a manufacturing setting or fabrication shop to ensure accurate drafting.
• Collaborate with team members to convert designs into fabrication-ready blueprints.
• Utilize knowledge of GD&T, MIG & TIG welding during the drafting process.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, with 3D experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting or fabrication shop.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting and blueprint creation.
• Familiarity with GD&T, MIG & TIG welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with HVAC systems and ductwork preferred.
• Knowledge of press brake prints and bounce back.
• Exposure to roll operations.

Work Environment

You will split your time between the office and the shop floor. Steel-toe shoes are required 100% of the time.
