Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a talented Electrical Systems Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and release electrical system components and provide build support at various stages throughout the product development process. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define electrical system requirements.
  • Develop and release electrical system components in the production system.
  • Create, organize, and document bills of material for electrical systems on Fire Apparatus.
  • Work with outside suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration.
  • Provide build support at various stages throughout the product development process.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • 0-3 or more years of experience in vehicle electrical system design, integration, or testing.
  • Experience with electrical component development, wiring harnesses, and schematics.
  • Good understanding of software/hardware interaction.
  • Experience managing project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of general product development processes.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Clear and concise oral/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work off-shift hours, as needed, to support production during builds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical engineering, troubleshooting, automotive, and vehicle systems.
  • Hands-on mechanical troubleshooting/12V Electrical Systems.
  • 2D/3D design experience, either classroom or internship-based.

Work Environment

The work environment is a smaller shop with a 50/50 split between office and floor work, which may shift to 75/25 during heavy design periods. The company offers direct training for OEM and is committed to building a strong core team. The culture is very tight-knit, family-oriented, and supportive of the first responder industry.
