Job Summary:
Initiates and executes all requested purchases for assigned categories, per existing supply strategies. Manages assigned supply base to ensure product conformance to specifications, and adherence to confirmed order quantities and shipping schedules, at the lowest total cost to our client. Recommends changes to existing supply strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors
- 3-5 years of procurement/supply chain management experience
- ERP experience (SAP is a plus)
- Excel (Intermediate)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Initiates and executes formal purchase requisitions for all requested Direct and Indirect materials and services for the assigned company location. Secures formal quotations from the approved supply base and analyzes against current/historical actual costs and requester’s delivery requirements. Provides recommendations for any variances to original estimate.
2. Communicates (and manages to) performance expectations and general requirements to assigned supply base.
3. Manages supplier capacities/lead times and determines MOQs/EOQs to manage costs and improve overall supply.
4. Provides planned order data to suppliers (where applicable) to drive capacity planning and on-time delivery requirements.
5. Identifies and makes recommendations for areas of cost reduction, and facilitates cost reduction projects with timely execution.
6. Establishes, measures, and reviews KPI’s for key suppliers, facilitating continuous improvement.
7. Initiates, supports, and/or assists with the identification and qualification of new sources of supply.
8. Maintains SAP system data integrity related to purchase order data (supplier, cost, delivery dates), item data (standard cost, safety stock, supplier leadtimes, etc.)
9. Provides timely disposition on invoice discrepancies and non-conforming material, where applicable.
10. Provides support toward any Transportation, Freight, or Logistics issues as needed or required.
11. Supports Strategic Sourcing initiatives as required.
12. Special projects as assigned.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
