Quality Lab Technician

Description:

• Ensure that product manuals are complete, accurate, and distributed in a timely manner.
• Respond in a timely manner to CM requests for specification and part number information and clarification.
• Research and resolve CM and in-house quality documentation concerns and needs.
• Conduct pH, viscosity, COA, specific gravity, packaging functional testing, and other quality tests on submitted cases of finished product from the CM’s and in-house manufacturing.
• Keep an orderly and organized in-house QA laboratory.
• Make sure all laboratory testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated as needed.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of laboratory supplies and communicate lab supply needs to the QA manager.
• Initiate QA variance documentation as needed.
• Create Excel data analysis spreadsheet reports based on laboratory testing.
• Compile and organize data into presentational formats.
• Maintain accurate laboratory test results records.
• Work closely with the quality specialist in the processing of supplier related NCR’s.
• Work closely with the QA manager and other quality technicians in the delineation of daily work responsibilities.
• Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Recommend process and quality improvement opportunities as they are identified.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry)
• Wet Chemistry Experience
• Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Excel
• Ability to adapt to change
• Ability to work independently
