Deposit Operations Specialist

Looking for a seasoned banking individual who has experience in deposit operations, wire transfers, ACH, balancing/checking accounts and stop payment experience

• Knowledge of Jack Henry Silverlake.

• Strong knowledge of bank compliance, rules and regulation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Description

Wire transfers, exceptions, ACH, stop pays

Reviewing, balancing, checking for sufficient or insufficient funds

Working with treasury management and e-banking

Reviewing the accounts that are coming into the bank

Primary back-up to perform maintenance on customer records and deposit accounts

based on internal requests submitted to the Deposit Operations department. Examples

of maintenance to be performed include:

o Account type changes, account title changes

o Account sweeps and other automated transfers

o Individual ACH entries

o Account holds

o Interest adjustments

o Account closings

o Customer address changes

o Stop payments

o Service fee reversals

• Assist with oversight of daily operational service, quality, and productivity of the

electronic banking area.

o Review daily transactions as they pertain to electronic banking, including Bankto-Bank transfers, loan transfers, CIF changes initiated by customers

o Provide customers support including password resets and resolution of

technology issues.

o Monitor various customer service channels to field inquiries and issues both

internally and externally.

• Ensure operational integrity through compliance with all policies, procedures and

regulations.

Skills & Qualifications

Processing Deposits: They make sure all deposit transactions are correctly processed and posted to customer accounts.

Handling Exceptions: If there are any issues or errors with deposits, they identify and resolve them.

Managing Adjustments and Returns: They handle adjustments to accounts and manage returned items, like checks that didn't clear.

Reviewing Applications: They approve new membership applications and review daily mobile deposits.

IRA Transactions: They manage Individual Retirement Account (IRA) transactions, ensuring everything is processed correctly, including setting up required distributions and handling death claims12.

In essence, they ensure that all deposit-related activities run smoothly and efficiently, helping customers with any issues that arise.
