Job Title: Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Prepare design submittal drawings with details and production drawings from customer-supplied architectural drawings and sketches.
• Create and work with bills of material (BOMs) and other construction documents.
• Develop equipment/material schedules and material takeoffs from drawings and sketches.
• Design gym equipment such as basketball hoop systems, wall pads, gym dividers, and volleyball nets from the ceiling.
• Assemble parts and pieces for customer orders and make necessary changes or updates.
• Handle design fixes and work closely with dealers/customers.
• Perform submittals for approval and manage BOM.
• Spend 10% of time on the floor, handling busy work and emails.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks - 3D.
• Experience with design, drafting, and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of bills of material (BOM) and CAD.
• Experience with Autodesk Vault.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate minimum.
• Internship to 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Excitement for the company's culture and product line.

Work Environment
