Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription orders, compounding medications, and providing expert advice on medication therapy. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage pharmacy staff and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications using standard formulas and processes, including weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Direct pharmacy employees in mixing, packaging, labeling, and making changes to prescription orders.
• Ensure the accurate intake of prescription orders and the efficient fulfillment of orders.
• Dispense medications, counsel nursing facility staff on the use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, and advise physicians about medication therapy.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy License in the State of Kansas.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership abilities to coordinate multiple associates and provide direction to accomplish job functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other Windows-based software programs.
• Long-term or closed-door pharmacy experience as a Pharmacist preferred, but not required.
