Job Title: Quality Test Engineer


Job Description

Responsible for Failure Analysis (FA), Qualification Testing, and Reliability Monitoring for semiconductor devices, including but not limited to high voltage, analog and mixed signal ICs, and optically isolated devices.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing on customer field failure samples using visual and/or microscopic inspection and photo-documentation, automated test equipment (ATE) testing, bench electrical characterization, x-ray, chemical/laser decapsulation, thermal characterization, and other FA techniques to investigate root cause of customer field failures.
  • Work with external labs when advanced FA techniques are required.
  • Perform investigation triage and deep dive investigations to develop hypotheses for failures and troubleshoot new failure modes.
  • Complete FA reports within tight time frames.
  • Conduct qualification and reliability testing to qualify new and improved products and monitor reliability for existing products.
  • Complete qualification reports.
  • Manage the site FA lab, ensuring organization, equipment safe operations, maintenance, calibration, operating procedure creation and training, and continuous improvements for testing techniques.
  • Support ISO 9001 and IATF compliance audits and internal audits, as well as other quality programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • One or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience with failure analysis and/or bench electronic testing equipment preferred.
  • Experience with semiconductor IC product design, application, manufacturing, and reliability.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (JEDEC, AEC).
  • Experience with quality control principles and methodologies.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
