Embedded Software Engineer (Autonomous Systems)

Braintree, MA - Full-time Position

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000

Job Description:

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. You will be the leading edge of the Maritime Software team.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Engineering experience from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• 3+ years of industry C++, Python, or Rust experience in a Linux development environment
• Experience in programming that has made it onto; a robotic systems, vehicle, or something a customer depends on
• Experience building software solutions involving significant amounts of data processing and analysis

Preferred Experience & Skills

• RTOS (VxWorks, etc.)
• Payload experience for under water systems
• A Mathematic, Physics, or Science experience
• Feature and algorithm development with an understanding of behavior trees
• Developing software/hardware for flight systems and safety critical functionality
• Distributed communication networks and message standards
• Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics
