Job Description
The Automation/Controls Engineer will be well-versed in control systems and have experience in industrial control panels and manufacturing equipment. You will work in a team environment to take a project from start to finish, which includes programming and coding from scratch as well as modifying pre-existing code.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation software (FactoryTalk View SE and RSLinx).
- Specify components and design industrial control panels.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and approval agency requirements (UL508A, NEC, etc.).
- Possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Develop programming that meets customer specifications with attention to details.
- Electrical design and hardware specification of industrial control panels.
- Design and program sophisticated control systems.
- Simulate, test, and debug control systems in-house.
- Install and startup systems at the end-user's facility.
- Provide continuing system technical support over the phone or on-site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Applicable Engineering Degree or five years project engineering and/or project management experience on control system integration projects.
- Three years of experience with Rockwell Automation software (Preferred).
- Three years of project management on control system integration (Preferred).
- Five years of compliance with regulatory and approval agency requirements (Preferred).
- Three years of AutoCAD Electrical experience (Preferred).
- Three years of PLC and HMI programming skills (Preferred).
Work Environment
