Job Title: 2nd Shift Controls Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Controls Technician to join our team at a tier 1 manufacturing facility in Holland. This position is expected to last for 6 months with the possibility of extension or permanent hire based on workload and performance assessment. The working hours are from 3 PM to 11 PM, with occasional weekends and an expectation of around 15 hours of overtime per week. A shift premium of 75 cents per hour is offered. The role includes one week of vacation and six holidays.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and edit PLC equipment, specifically Allen-Bradley.
- Troubleshoot and edit ABB robots.
- Communicate effectively and document tasks accurately.
- Understand and adhere to safety standards.
- Comprehend and work with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC troubleshooting/editing with Allen-Bradley.
- Proficiency in reading AutoCAD electrical schematics.
- Experience in troubleshooting ABB robots.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's degree.
- Preferred experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of robotics, PLC programming, schematic reading, preventive maintenance, pneumatics, and vision systems.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and relatively clean, though it can be noisy. Technicians will be required to stand for prolonged periods, at least 8 hours and up to 12 hours per day. The role involves lifting objects weighing up to 35 pounds multiple times per hour and performing repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting, and hand movements such as gripping, grasping, pinching, and squeezing.
