Job Title: Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Engineer to support our engineering, design, and manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ASME design and documentation, as well as developing and supporting programs for the company. This role involves training and supervising shop employees, engineering product designs to meet customer specifications, and preparing equipment proposals.


Responsibilities

  • Create ASME design and documentation to support specific projects.
  • Develop and support programs to meet the company's engineering, design, and manufacturing needs.
  • Train and supervise shop employees.
  • Engineer product designs to meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Prepare equipment proposals.
  • Utilize SolidWorks software to produce highly detailed engineering designs from drawings, sketches, and written descriptions.
  • Provide specifications to design drafter.
  • Develop tools such as databases and applications to support and automate basic engineering functions.
  • Maintain company safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.
  • Engage in regular interaction with internal departments, shop personnel, and external vendors.

Essential Skills

  • Four-year degree in engineering with an emphasis on equipment design and manufacturing or applicable work background.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks design and analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to accurately measure objects using hand-held measuring tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, process engineering, manufacturing process, and lean manufacturing.
  • Combination of education and relevant experience.

Work Environment

The work environment involves regular interaction with internal departments, shop personnel, and external vendors. The role requires the use of SolidWorks software and hand-held measuring tools. The company maintains high standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
