Description
Process Improvement:
o Analyze, develop, and enhance manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and optimize productivity.
o Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline production operations.
o Drive implementation of capital projects. (ROI)
Equipment and Tooling:
o Select, design, and modify production tools, fixtures, and equipment to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and safe operations.
o Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to reduce operational downtime.
Quality Control:
o Collaborate with manufacturing and sales to develop and implement standards, inspection protocols, and corrective actions.
o Monitor product quality and process performance, analyzing data to identify and eliminate root causes of defects to maintain product quality.
o Responsible for work progress and to resolve problems to ensure timely completion of projects.
o Evaluate and present recommendations to management for staffing levels, schedules, capacity, performance, and other key performance indicators.
o Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
o Must follow ISO procedures. Create, update, and maintain procedures for processes as required.
Product Development Support:
o Collaborate with design engineering, procurement, and other teams during the development of new products to ensure manufacturability.
o Support prototyping and testing efforts, making adjustments to manufacturing processes as necessary.
o Estimate time cost for manufacturing processes.
o Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams to deliver results on key manufacturing and process development initiatives.
o Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet established performance criteria.
o Prepare and revise CAD drawings to include flat patterns and all dimensions required to fabricate parts.
o Develop CAD drawings of piece parts, weldments, and entire machines using electronic layouts, prints, drawings, and other sources.
o Review processes and procedures in the context of preserving and improving employee safety.
o Evaluate and recommend the pricing proposals utilizing the best available information.
o Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
o Consult with customers and manage new product development; including timeline.
o Develop quality control plans to ensure part conformity.
o Support quality engineers with programming of CNC equipment to support new product introduction.
Safety Compliance:
o Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies within all manufacturing operations.
o Proactively identify potential safety hazards and lead initiatives to eliminate risks.
Documentation:
o Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes, standards, and equipment modifications.
o Train production personnel in new processes and updated procedures.
o Write and implement work instructions, processes and procedures for production floor and the department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering,
o Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and materials.
o Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP/CRM systems.
o 3D Printing
o Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is preferred.
o Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
o Strong presentation skills.
