Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technician

Job Description

In the Cell Kinetics lab, we test for leukemia and lymphoma using blood, bone marrow, and tissue specimens. The lab operates in an 'assembly line' format, with samples moving through various stages such as

1. Specimen Processing - pipetting, aliquotting, centrifuging, and adding chemicals to isolate white blood cells.
2. The isolated cells are then stained with antibodies
3. The stained cells are run on flow cytometers.

Technicians will be trained across three different benches initially, with opportunities to train on over ten other benches upon becoming a permanent employee.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a human biological science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, Marine Biology, Neuroscience).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with flow cytometry or cell sorting is a plus.
• Will accept OPT candidates.
