Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Drafter to join our team. This role involves electrical drafting utilizing AutoCAD and MicroStation to support transmission and distribution projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility drafting, civil drafting, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical drafts using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Support transmission and distribution projects with accurate and timely drafting work.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure design accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of construction drawings.
• Continuously learn and understand the reasoning behind design decisions to grow beyond CAD work.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Experience in electrical drafting.
• Knowledge of utility drafting and civil drafting.
• Familiarity with MicroStation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to ask questions and seek clarification as needed.
• Leadership qualities and an extroverted personality.
• Desire to learn and develop knowledge of electrical systems and substations.
• Technological savvy and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 0 to 5 years of experience in drafting.
• Experience in the consulting space is a plus.
• Industry experience with utilities or electrical systems design is beneficial.
• Knowledge of other design software such as Inventor is a plus.
