Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on hardware bring-up, collaborating with software developers to enhance hardware, and participating in daily project stand-ups. This role requires onsite presence for the majority of the time. You will attend 1-2 client meetings daily and work closely with junior level software developers, eventually leading them. You will also contribute to the embedded software development. Initial projects will involve joining existing hardware systems, but typically you will be involved in projects from inception to completion. You will lead multiple projects, ensuring the Linux kernel, tools, and libraries are set up and functioning correctly on the system.

Responsibilities

• Bring up hardware in a hands-on role with onsite presence required.
• Participate in daily stand-ups with the project team.
• Collaborate with software developers on hardware enhancements.
• Attend 1-2 client meetings daily.
• Work closely with junior software developers and eventually lead them.
• Assist with embedded software development.
• Join existing hardware system projects and contribute from the middle stage.
• Lead multiple projects, ensuring the Linux kernel, tools, and libraries are set up and functioning correctly on the system.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Yocto.
• Proficiency in Linux Kernel.
• Strong skills in C/C++ development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Cmake.
• Knowledge of C#.
• Familiarity with .NET.

Work Environment

This role requires majority onsite presence, working closely with hardware and software developers. The work involves daily stand-ups, client meetings, and leading junior developers. You will work on multiple projects, ensuring the Linux kernel, tools, and libraries are properly set up and integrated into the system.
