Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with excellent communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the electrical design of control and power systems for industrial machinery.


Responsibilities

  • Design control and power systems for industrial machinery.
  • Program PLCs, drives, and safety controllers.
  • Requisition electrical parts and manage inventory.
  • Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Consult and advise with electrical integrators during equipment building.
  • Assign electrical part numbers and develop Bills of Materials (BOM) in Excel or AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers to resolve interface questions promptly.
  • Prepare transmittal letters for drawings and documentation.
  • Develop wire schedules for field interconnections.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers.
  • Perform Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at customer locations.
  • Interface with electrical contractors for fieldwork.
  • Communicate with customers regarding electrical design and address their questions.
  • Provide quotes for electrical costs for machinery to customers.

Work Environment

The work environment involves designing and programming in an office setting, with occasional on-site visits for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT). The role requires collaboration with both internal teams and external customers and contractors. The use of AutoCAD and electrical design software is essential, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is crucial.
