Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Description

Perform quality control and routine testing on fatty acids and alcohols. The role involves 70% wet chemistry lab work and 30% instrumentation. You will be responsible for testing and approving incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and outgoing samples using various techniques such as gas chromatography (GC), flash point testing, and titration.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on fatty acids and alcohols.
• Conduct routine testing on incoming raw materials.
• Test in-process samples to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform testing on outgoing samples using techniques such as gas chromatography, flash point testing, and titration.
• Approve incoming raw materials based on testing results.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Knowledge of wet chemistry and instrumentation.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment, including academic labs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.

Work Environment

This position is within a lab environment, working with a team of four other people. The role requires working on a rotating shift schedule: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am.
