Job Title: Project Construction Superintendent (Contract Role)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to manage and oversee day-to-day operations on commercial interior fit-out projects. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with clients and contractors.
• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the field labor force.
• Review and familiarize yourself with the project budget and general conditions estimate.
• Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with the Project Manager.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager and clients and contractors.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
• Communicate and enforce the company's Safety and Health Management Program.
• Manage schedules, including preparation of look-ahead schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
• Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings, and conduct foreman’s meetings.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with construction trades.
• 1-2 years of previous carpentry experience.
• 5-10 years of working experience as a superintendent.
• Experience working on commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in Procore.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management.
