Hiring a Construction Inspector!!

A growing general contractor that specializes in government agency projects is seeking a Construction Inspector to support their JFK airport project. The Construction Inspector will play a crucial role in supporting their retail interior fit-out projects throughout the airport, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Monitor and document the progress of construction activities, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections and findings.
• Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards and specifications.
• Assist in resolving any construction-related issues that may arise during the project.
• Provide guidance and support to construction teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Inspector
• Interior Fit-Out experience
• Experience handling general inspections including MEP, Structural, and Architectural
• Proficiency in Construction Management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
• Ability to collaborate with contractors, project managers, and superintendents on site
• Experience reviewing drawings
• Q/A and Q/C experience, retail construction, MEP Inspection

Fully on site at the airport. Project office at the airport.

The current project is expected to go on for the next 4-5 years, offering long-term stability.
