Job Description
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting/Office Clerk to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a blend of clerical and administrative skills, with experience in AP/AR, payroll (including prevailing wages), and fieldwork such as documentation and note-taking. Basic Excel skills and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers are essential.
Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Perform data entry and clerical support tasks.
- Manage payroll processes, including prevailing wages.
- Conduct fieldwork such as documentation and note-taking.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
- Utilize basic Excel skills for various accounting tasks.
Essential Skills
- Experience in accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in data entry and clerical support.
- Basic knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with payroll processes, including prevailing wages.
- Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role (number of years isn't as important as exposure to the role).
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is fully on-site, with working hours from Monday to Friday (9am-6pm), with potential for longer hours during busy seasons. You will be working with a very tight-knit team.
