Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team on an interim basis to cover an employee leave. This role is crucial to ensure a smooth transition and continuity during the absence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train under the person leaving for 4-6 weeks and will be involved in key financial processes and reporting activities. The position will be part of an 8–10-person team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in month-end close processes, ensuring all entries related to 30 affiliated entities are completed by day 2.
- Allocate benefits by day 3 and ensure balance sheet and income statement variances are addressed.
- Refresh HFN package and manage balance sheet fluctuations.
- Provide month-over-month and quarter-to-quarter income statement analysis.
- Prepare community benefits, expense, and revenue explanations.
- Handle divisional reporting and workers' compensation cash flow.
- Conduct billing reconciliations and meetings with partners to arrange services.
- Prepare various payroll reports and manage salary and wage reporting.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, liabilities, and payroll.
- Utilize HFM for reporting and PeopleSoft for general ledger tasks.
- Input forecasts into Axium and assist with the transition to Oracle Cloud.
- Participate in the interim audit from April to June 30th, with the audit closing by July 14th.
- Involved in a closed meeting in mid-August to address progress and status.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including month-end close (MEC) and balance sheet management.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with HFM and PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Healthcare background is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
