Job Title: Quality Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in problem analysis, mistake-proofing, and process evaluation. You will work closely with internal quality assurance, manufacturing, and production engineering personnel to resolve customer quality concerns. You will create and implement clear quality standards, develop check fixtures, and ensure the accuracy of test methods and equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze problems and investigate mistake-proofing countermeasures.
  • Review and evaluate process changes.
  • Resolve customer quality concerns by facilitating activities with internal QAE, manufacturing, and production engineering personnel.
  • Create and implement quality standards such as Key Quality Check Standard, Critical Process Check Standards, Daily Production and Quality Standard, and QA data sheets.
  • Develop check fixtures and evaluation methods to confirm product quality.
  • Ensure the accuracy of test methods, equipment, and programming.
  • Assist in developing test fixtures and procedures for new programs and identify continuous improvement ideas.
  • Investigate and dispose of product abnormalities in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely and accurate departmental reports and distribution.
  • Prepare and evaluate new products following APQP and PPAP standards.
  • Develop and maintain new product evaluation schedules to comply with SRK-OH and customer standards.
  • Attend initial builds at customer lines to address concerns and represent the company's commitment to quality.
  • Perform periodic proactive customer visits.
  • Communicate with customers regarding quality issues.
  • Participate in and support QA Target Management activities.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of practical experience in Automotive Engineering, Engineering Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
  • Automotive QE experience working with Ford System/Portal.
  • Knowledge of IATF and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience with problem-solving tools including root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience working directly with automotive OEMs.
  • Experience with castings, rubber curing, plastic injection molding, stamping, welding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, GD&T.
  • Internal auditing experience of IATF and/or ISO 9001.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (preferred).

Work Environment

You will be working with a manufacturer of anti-vibration automotive components. Our products include hydraulic and conventional engine mounts, body mounts, engine drivelines, exhaust isolation mountings, and body isolation products. These products are designed to enhance comfort, reduce noise, and improve road handling in vehicles.


Compensation:$80000
