This Laboratory Sanitation Technicians will be working in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment and will primarily focus on keeping the cleanroom laboratory sterilized and will have to fully gown up when going in and out of rooms.
This is a long-term career opportunity and we are looking for someone with at least 6 months - 1+ years of experience working in a sterilization, sanitation, or similar cleaning environment that requires the use of PPE and/or following heavy regulations (examples may include sanitation in manufacturing or GMP regulated environments, cleaning in certain hospital settings, sterile processing, etc.). Experience MUST include the use of PPE and/or following strict regulations.
Shift:2nd Shift, 1pm - 9:30pm, Monday - Friday
Description:
- The Laboratory Sanitation Technician plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas of manufacturing pharmaceuticals and related medical products.
- Performs sanitary cleaning duties of equipment and working stations, ensuring that everything meets necessary regulations.
- Keep the cleanroom sterilized so nothing gets cross contaminated in the pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains accurate and complete inventory of cleaning supplies ensuring supplies are never depleted.
- Trains and oversees other Aseptic Cleaners.
- Performs other oversight duties.
Qualifications:
- MUST have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- MUST have at least 6 months - 1 year of experience performing sanitation or cleaning in a regulated environment or other experience in a cleanroom/sterilized room (examples could include working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or something that might be similarly regulated).
- Regular janitorial experience without regulated experience and strict PPE requirements would not meet the qualifications.
Work Environment:
- You will be part of a 7-person team led by a Project Manager and work alongside the Laboratory Team.
- The position is for the 2nd shift (1pm to 9:30pm) with a 30-minute meal break.
- Initial training will be conducted for a week or less on the 1st shift. Expect approximately 5 hours of overtime per week.
