Job Description

We design, build, and service critical infrastructure that enables vital applications for data centers, communication networks, and commercial and industrial facilities. We support today’s growing mobile and cloud computing markets with a portfolio of power, thermal, and infrastructure management solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Perform functional testing of UPS, Charger, and Inverter modules.
  • Conduct witness tests and assist Test Engineers in conducting witness tests.
  • Verify conformance to all specified requirements, including UL/CSA/IEEE standards.
  • Perform electrical tests and systems testing on UPS units.
  • Design and develop instrumentation systems that incorporate uncertainty analysis.
  • Collect data using electronic equipment.
  • Perform physical and functional inspection of electrical components.
  • Operate test bays/stations and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faulty components.
  • Review order write-ups and ensure product quality.
  • Configure and connect system equipment (switchgear, SCCT cabinets, and power ties).
  • Perform preliminary inspections and tests.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with PCB, Test Engineering, Electrical Circuits, analog circuitry, digital circuitry, and electrical instruments.
  • Proficiency in electronics and electronic testing.
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in Electronics.
  • 2+ years of electronics experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuitry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays.

Work Environment

The position operates in a manufacturing environment within a clean facility. You will work alongside 12 other engineers/technicians. This role includes working on high-tech equipment supporting the growing Data Center industry, with the opportunity to advance into a Test Engineering role after 2 years. Shifts available include 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm) and 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm), with potential for required overtime.
