Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, utilize statistical and problem-solving tools, and ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves active participation in APQP team activities, managing PPAP processes, and addressing customer complaints.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis and implement CAPAs
• Utilize statistical and problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5Y, and Fishbone
• Gather data and analyze trends in statistical process control (SPC)
• Update and maintain quality standards used in manufacturing cells
• Participate in APQP team activities such as PFMEA and process flow
• Utilize PPAPs to comply with automotive supplier processes
• Meet with end customers to address complaints and provide solutions

Essential Skills

• APQP, PPAP, IATF, TS16949, and root cause analysis
• Auditing experience
• PPAP experience - writing, modifying, or submitting
• Experience with customer complaints
• Bachelor's Degree
• Green Belt in Six Sigma
• Supplier quality management
• Experience adhering to industry standards (IATF or ISO)
• At least 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Automotive industry experience
• Experience working with or supporting GM, Ford, Stellantis, Honda
• Continuous improvement

Work Environment

This position operates on the first shift, starting between 6:30-7 AM and ending between 3-3:30 PM. The role is 100% onsite and involves reporting to the Quality Manager and working alongside one other Quality Engineer and four Quality Technicians.
