Job Title: Embedded C Engineer


Job Description

We are a clinical environment design company specializing in developing and producing a wide variety of medical devices. We are currently looking for an Embedded C Engineer to join our team in Versailles, OH.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance for system-level decisions.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Optimize firmware for performance, power efficiency, and memory usage.
  • Drive the design of firmware architecture, particularly in systems using Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Innovate in firmware development processes and collaborate with leadership and other cross-functional departments to align decisions with organization goals.
  • Lead the design of complex systems, research and propose innovative solutions.
  • Formulate solutions to complex and ambiguous problems, incorporating feedback and solutions from others.
  • Act as a technical lead, manage significant systems, use strategic planning, and mitigate risk.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas through daily work, presentations, and workshops.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with various microcontroller and microprocessor architectures: ARM Processor, STM32, NXP, & associated IDEs.
  • Understanding of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), multitasking, and inter-task communications.
  • Experience in designing firmware architecture for complex systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with Embedded C programming.
  • 5+ years of microcontroller experience (8, 16, 32 bit).
  • Experience analyzing/interpreting data, preparing test protocols, and test reports.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (medical device, automotive, aerospace/DOD, etc.).
  • Experience with bare metal Embedded C development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with UL Standards.
  • Experience as a technical lead and mentoring junior engineers.

Work Environment

This position is based out of Versailles, OH and requires being in the office 4 days a week with the option to work 1 day from home. Our corporate headquarters feature state-of-the-art labs, testing facilities, and a highly collaborative environment. Compensation:$67.31
