Job Title: Sustaining Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Sustaining Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on maintaining and improving existing products, addressing design challenges, and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an innovative problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and troubleshoot design issues in existing products, implementing modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement, to improve product performance and reliability.
• Design and develop updates or replacements for obsolete components or systems while ensuring compatibility.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to resolve product failures or customer concerns.
• Update and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and product manuals.
• Support production teams by providing technical expertise and resolving engineering-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Proven experience in product design, development, or sustaining engineering.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with engineering tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
