Job Title: Mechanical Quality Control Superintendent

Job Description

The role involves providing professional and technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design and construction, ensuring the project meets high-quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site position right outside of Charleston, SC for a confidential client. As an experienced SME, you will have significant responsibility for interpreting construction documents, design review, and ensuring the quality assurance of MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field quality assurance inspector for MEP/HVAC systems.
• Oversee Building System Commissioning, including coordination of the Design-Builder’s Commissioning Plan to ensure the project achieves system performance in line with design intent.
• Collaborate closely with the Commissioning Agent to provide effective oversight and technical support as required.
• Provide technical assistance as needed, even outside your specific area of expertise.
• Participate in ongoing project meetings to ensure the best interests of the project are protected throughout its commissioning process, working towards substantial completion and final acceptance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience on large industrial or data center projects or equivalent MEP scope/commissioning.
• Commissioning experience with relevant industry certifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with the general contractor, designers, and the owner.
• Proficiency in digital communication and documentation tools.
