Job Title: Purchasing and Planning Coordinator


Job Description

The Purchasing and Planning Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing procurement, production planning, and batching processes. This role involves coordinating the Finished Goods Master Production Plan, ensuring materials and supplier deliverables (e.g., packaging, scoops) are available on time, and supporting smooth production workflows while ensuring compliance with internal departmental requirements and client specifications.


Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with quality, pricing, and delivery expectations.
  • Develop and manage the Finished Goods Master Production Plan, collaborating with R&D, sales, production, and warehouse.
  • Coordinate batching schedules and ensure raw materials are allocated correctly for production.
  • Enter sales orders into the management system and assist in calculating raw material requirements and costs.
  • Create batch numbers, track production schedules, and resolve raw material issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendors, inventory, and production orders.
  • Collaborate with departments to communicate stock availability, ETA, and production needs.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in supply chain or related field, or comparable work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting production schedules.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Experience with sourcing products.
  • Experience working with pricing.
  • Proficient in systems like QuickBooks/ERP System and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills for working with internal and external customers.

Work Environment

Office environment connected to a warehouse/production facility.


Compensation:$36.06
