Description

• 6+ years of increased responsibility in import customs compliance roles (professional services firm(s), Fortune 500 company, etc.)

• Licensed Customs Broker License preferred.

• Advanced tariff classification experience and managing classification programs.

• Knowledge of US Customs programs including Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Orders, and PGAs (e.g. FDA, EPA.)

• Proficiency with MS Office and SAP-GTS.


Description


• Support the Clients Global Trade classification program and other classification teams globally.

o Conduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate HTS by using various trade tools such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and other classification tools.

o Maintain & monitor previous part classifications in SAP-GTS to ensure consistent and valid tariff numbers.

o Monitor, measure and develop reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.)

o Evaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance.

o Perform global classification and duty analysis on clients products.

o Lead global classification audits and root cause any errors.

o Manage classification specific projects as assigned.

• Create and maintain process and procedures.

• Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.)


This is an opportunity for someone to join a growing team, and indirectly impact every product that Apple produces. They will also be making a huge impact in mitigating billions of dollars of risk for Apple. With recent tariff changes, there is an immense amount of pressure and workload on this to keep Apple compliant to the changes.



Top Skills' Details

1) 6+ years in customs/trade compliance managing large US import compliance programs for professional service / fortune 500 / high tech companies/large shipping, transportation, Supply Chain companies

2) Dealing with external vendors on regular basis (carriers, transportation companies, etc.)

3) Leveraging Excel and SAP (or other large ERP systems) for classification and driving KPI/data analysis

4) Experience with classification of imports for US


Ideally familiar with Section 321

Personality: Great communication, problem solver, takes initiative, sharp, able to learn and ramp up quickly, don't need hand held. Strong Apple personality.

- Experience Leveraging Tableau for data visualization
