Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Satellite Platform RF/EMC Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing EMC analyses, analyzing payload RF test results, and conducting system-level EMC testing. You will assist with design support, troubleshooting, and documentation, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility in satellite systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret unit-level EMC test reports.
- Analyze RF transmitter/receiver test results and recommend design enhancements for electromagnetic compatibility.
- Prepare system-level EMC test plans and conduct satellite-level EMC testing.
- Assist with grounding, shielding, and wiring harness signal segregation and routing.
- Troubleshoot EMC-related issues on integrated satellite and Platform Engineering Model (FlatSat) test setups.
- Support RF/EMC aspects of systems engineering documentation, including requirements specifications, compliance statements, verification matrices, and design descriptions.
- Participate in various program reviews such as EQSR, SRR, PDR, and CDR.
Essential Skills
- Experience in system-level and unit-level EMC testing.
- Strong RF background with knowledge of digital and analog electronic unit designs and wiring harnesses.
- Expertise in RF transmitter, signal segregation, wiring harnesses, grounding, and shielding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of the space environment and communication satellites.
- Capability to work efficiently with little to no supervision.
- Ability to lead and/or mentor junior engineering team members.
Work Environment
This opportunity allows you to work remotely in the eastern time zone (EST). It includes some international travel, providing a dynamic and flexible work setting.
