Job Description

Perform chemical and instrumental analysis on fuels, oils, and other lubricants using ASTM standard testing methods. You will analyze new samples, prepare solutions or solvents for various tests, transfer samples within the lab, and maintain workbooks and equipment as per SOP and TIP test procedures. This role involves working in an industrial lab setting, specifically focusing on research on automotive products.


Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical and instrumental analysis on fuels, oils, and other lubricants.
  • Analyze new samples as they are introduced.
  • Prepare solutions or solvents for various tests.
  • Transfer samples within the lab.
  • Maintain workbooks and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis according to SOP and TIP test procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a lab environment.
  • Sample preparation skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform math calculations.
  • Experience washing glassware.
  • Familiarity with basic lab safety.

Work Environment

You will work in an industrial lab setting focused on automotive product research. The shifts are from 6am to 3pm, 8am to 5pm, or 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided. There is a noticeable fuel/oil smell in the lab. This role offers true analytical lab experience, ideal for career growth.
