Job Title: Project Controls Specialist


Job Description

As a Project Controls Specialist, you will develop and track project schedules for meetings and deliverables, monitor, update, and review financial data, and prepare drafts of monthly progress reports. You will also track and ensure compliance with contract requirements using established processes and tools. Additionally, you will assist in schedule baseline and schedule update reviews, cost estimate development, and provide support for constructability/biddability reviews, construction schedules, schedule impact analysis, contract changes/work orders, project risk analysis, project records, and contract administration.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and track project schedules for meetings and deliverables.
  • Monitor, update, and review financial data.
  • Prepare drafts of monthly progress reports.
  • Track and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Use established processes and tools on projects.
  • Assist in schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.
  • Assist in cost estimate development and review.
  • Provide support with development, monitoring, and execution of constructability/biddability reviews, construction schedule, schedule impact analysis, contract changes/work orders, project risk analysis, project records, and contract administration.
  • Manage project information, including hard-copy and electronic files.
  • Coordinate information flow between project team and client.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare detailed minutes.
  • Develop presentations based on input from project team members.
  • Prepare new project start-up documents, including development of schedules and level of effort estimates.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in project coordination with a consulting/engineering firm.
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tool Microsoft Project, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Local candidates preferred.
