Job Description
We are looking for a Delinquency Control Counselor to manage and collect on past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts within the first 30 days of delinquency. This role involves providing financial counseling to members and mitigating potential losses, in compliance with all government and internal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and collect on past due Consumer Loan and Credit Card accounts within the first 30 days of delinquency.
- Provide financial counseling to members.
- Mitigate potential losses by adhering to all government and internal regulations.
- Handle high call volumes, making 80-120+ outbound calls per day.
- Navigate multiple systems efficiently to manage accounts.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address member needs and overcome objections.
- Provide empathetic communication and exceptional customer service.
Essential Skills
- Experience in collections, sales, retail, administrative tasks, and customer service.
- Competence in using Excel, Office Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to provide empathy and problem-solving for members.
- Experience in a call center or early-stage collections environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree with experience in retail or sales preferred.
- High school diploma with collections or call center experience.
- Experience in high-end retail or fast food (e.g., Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Target, Best Buy).
- Ability to think outside the box and be resourceful.

Work Environment
Training: First 4 weeks hybrid (7am-3:30pm CST/ 8am-4:30pm EST), with the first 3 days on site and then hybrid 1 day a week. Nesting: 4 weeks of on-site technical training, followed by up to 4 weeks of nesting led by the leadership team. After training: Monday-Saturday availability, shifts between 7am-8pm CST, 8am-9pm EST. One day off during the week when working a Saturday. Hybrid schedule: 1 day per week (4 days per month on-site required). Equipment provided for work-from-home during the hybrid schedule (2 monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset). Open cubical environment with high call volume and a team-oriented atmosphere.
