Job Title: Energy Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Energy Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive energy audits for commercial and government buildings, analyze energy consumption data, and identify opportunities for energy savings and decarbonization. You will collaborate with clients to implement energy-saving measures and track progress, staying updated on industry trends and technologies related to energy efficiency and decarbonization. Your work will involve on-site inspections and the use of energy modeling software to evaluate energy performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform ASHRAE Level I, II, III energy audits to assess building energy performance.
- Analyze energy consumption data and identify opportunities for energy savings and decarbonization.
- Develop detailed energy audit reports, including recommendations for energy efficiency improvements and decarbonization strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to implement energy-saving measures and track progress.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to energy efficiency and decarbonization.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients on energy management practices.
- Perform on-site inspections and assessments of building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and insulation.
- Utilize energy modeling software and tools to evaluate energy performance.
Essential Skills
- Experience in conducting energy audits and energy efficiency assessments.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software and tools, such as eQuest.
- Knowledge of HVAC, lighting, and insulation systems.
- Ability to analyze energy consumption data and identify savings opportunities.
- Experience with existing building projects, preferably on government and tribal projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SKM Power software is preferred.
- EIT (Engineer in Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) certification is preferred.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible work schedule with remote working options and opportunities for professional development. The ideal candidate would prefer to sit out of the Northwest, specifically Seattle, but other locations may be considered for the perfect fit.
