Job Description

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Are you a self-starter who finds ways to improve existing processes? We are looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our Temperature Calibration team in Everett, WA. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will analyze, develop, implement, and maintain methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for production and assembly of new and existing products. You will assist with new product introductions to manufacturing, support released products, and help retire legacy products. You will significantly contribute to and own key performance indicators in Operations, including 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. You will have the authority to make decisions, drive improvements, and have ample opportunities for career growth.


Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing engineering assignments to ensure the integrity of product design for quality and cost-effective production.
  • Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to aid in the development of designs.
  • Coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacities are developed to support new products.
  • Ensure efficient manufacturing by achieving quality, cost, operating specifications, customer, and company standards and requirements.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction.
  • Plan, define, and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions.
  • Manage and implement projects of varying complexity and scope.
  • Ensure the integrity of existing manufacturing documents and create new manufacturing documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with DFM, SolidWorks, and/or Creo.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing engineering, Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, SW, PSP, SMED, VRK, OEE, and TPM.
  • Proven problem-solving aptitude using various tools and techniques.
  • Leadership experience within a team, project, or job.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present information and respond to feedback at any level within the global organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Hands-on approach/experience with manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Experience working in a metric/goal-driven environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results.
  • Comfortable working on problems of moderate scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
