The basic function of this role is to ensure that all the Materials (cables, devices, etc.) Equipment (lift truck, ladders, etc.) and Personnel (the technician) are onsite where and when they are supposed to be so that when the Technician shows up, the install can be completed.

This role is very detail oriented - and if I had to describe it in a word, I would say "Ownership". The Project Coordinator MUST make sure that everything is in place, as it should be when it's suppose to be there otherwise the project falls apart. And the PC must be able to get a substitute in place when someone/ something isn't there. The PC must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task as he/she will have multiple projects going at the same time. And the PC must be professional with great communication skills even when stressed. This isn't a very technically challenging role, but it is very fast paced.
